BAND;BOTH BANDS WILL BE COMBINING
ON MONDAY AND THURSDAY FOR THE REST OF THIS
SEMESTER!! We
will be MARCHING in the Holiday Lights Parade (downtown) on Saturday, Dec.
15. Parade is at 6:30. We will need to arrive no later than 4:30....Judging
is BEFORE the parade. As soon as I get the final instructions from the city I will get it to you!! (our number, where we meet, time we meet, etc.)
PRACTICE YOUR INSTRUMENTS SO WE SOUND FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Our "UNIFORM" for this night is; Plain, Red Sweatshirt, Blue jeans, comfortable gym shoes (any color), fingerless gloves - if you would like (can usually find them in the dollar section - also at KMart), and a Santa Hat. Parents; Would any of you, that play a band instrument, like to play with the band in this parade? Let me know!!! We are playing 2 songs - Jingle Bells and O Come, Little Children.Older brothers and sisters are also welcome to play!
CHIMES; We will be playing at Reid Park Zoo's ZooLights on Thursday night, December 13. We must arrive at the Zoo by 5:45 and play from 6-8. We will wear our black pants, comfortable shoes (we will be standing for 2 hours), PLAIN, RED SWEATSHIRTS, Santa Hats would be great, and gloves might be needed. We need EVERYONE to be there so we can sound great and be great ambassadors of our school!

Steel Drums, Chimes, Band and Orchestra - We have been practicing our music for the Winter Concert in school. Please make sure your child is practicing at least 15 minutes EVERY day at home!!!We will be performing in the WINTER CONCERT on December 10, MONDAY at Rincon Mountain Church.

The High School groups will also be performing at
this concert. Concert begins at 7 and
all performers MUST be wearing Dress Black Pants, black socks, Dress black
shoes, and a Solid White, Colared shirt. (can be long or short
sleeves.)
There will be admission costs for this performance. $2.00 per person or $10 for a family of 5 or more. This is to help offset the cost of the rental of the facility.
DRAMA - Performing "Ebony Scrooge" at the Jr. Civitan/Drama Dinner Theater on Friday, December 14. Tell your friends to save the date! Tickets will be $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for children K-8. Tickets will be available beginning November 9 at the Book Fair!! Only 100 tickets will be sold, so grab yours quickly!! Dinner will be spaghetti!!
LOOKING FOR SOME HOLIDAY EVENTS TO ATTEND? The Messiah Sing-In is at Grace to the Nations Church (on Pima, near Wilmot) on Monday, December 3. You can bring your own score or rent one and join in the approx. 1200 voice chorus, or just be a part of the audience. I am playing String Bass in the orchestra.
Joyous Bells - a community Handbell group - will be playing at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, December 8. We play from 6 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

Monday/Wednesday - Working on # 25-31 in our recorder books. Friday is singing day.

7th Grade
Tuesday; Listening to the Egmont overture by Beethoven.
